MODERN JIU JITSU FOR SELF DEFENSE
This is an invitation for the New York resident who values personal safety and physical confidence but has little to no interest in traditional "martial arts" culture. If you have been hesitant to try self-defense because of the risk of injury or an aggressive gym environment, this session is your entry point. We have combined the best of two world-class systems—Japanese Jiu-Jitsu (JJJ) and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)—into a refined, 60-minute technical experience.
By removing the heavy, traditional uniforms and focusing on simple physics and body mechanics, we provide a "Technical Upgrade" for your daily life. This is about building a Physical Firewall that allows you to navigate the city with composure and certainty.
The Methodology:
Technical Partner Drills
Capability is not a theoretical concept; it is an active discipline. To ensure these elite skills are ingrained into your muscle memory, the entire 60-minute session is built around hands-on partner drills. We focus on leverage and posture rather than speed or explosive strength.
Japanese Jiu Jitsu
This module focuses on the "Architecture of Control." You will learn how to use your voice to de-escalate and how to stand in a way that commands immediate respect. We practice technical escapes from common grabs, allowing you to "ghost" out of a hold with clinical ease and create the space you need to exit a situation on your own terms.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Often referred to as the "Equalizer," this system uses pure physics to prove that a smaller, technical mover can "Veto" the will of a much larger individual. By using your skeletal structure—not your muscles—you will learn how to maintain control and stay calm if a situation ever goes to the ground.
The 60-Minute Strategic Roadmap
The Voice and The Grip:
Using your posture to prevent trouble before it begins and learning the "shortcuts" to break free from any physical grab without hesitation.
The Safe Landing (Ukemi):
Falling gracefully - learn how to hit the NYC pavement safely—whether from a slip or a push—and get back on your feet with total composure.
The Mechanical Veto:
Using leverage and body weight as an anchor to subdue a threat and have the final say in any physical interaction.
